She snapped a photo of a man praying with a soldier. The soldier was identified as “Michael” from his backpack at the time. The random man walked up and said thank you for your service. Then asked if he could pray for his safety.

In the photo, the two men are standing with their heads bowed in prayer with the civilian’s hand placed on the soldier’s shoulder. This moment left Sweeney extremely emotional.

Sweeney posted this photo of a man praying for a soldier’s safety, calling the moment “beautiful” and saying it made her cry.

Singer Sunny Sweeney said she was having a crappy day and started crying after witnessing a very special moment between strangers.

I started crying of course just watching this nice end to a crappy day unfold on my 16 hour cross country flight, but Americans never cease to amaze me.

The power of social media would strike and soon after it was posted, Sweeney would get an awesome surprise. Air Force soldier Michael Barth of Washington State found the photo and responded to Sweeney on Facebook. The Texas native and country music star had posted that she wanted the photo to find its way to this soldier, but never thought in a million years it would actually happen. It did.

The photo has become a tribute to all of our men and women in uniform who continue to give the ultimate sacrifice for all of us to be free.

Sweeney later posts a video of the soldier surprising his mother. She says, “Never in a million years did I think the moment I shared would make it all the way to the soldier that it was about. But thanks to y’all, it did!

I also had no idea that Michael was traveling home to surprise his mom and neither did she . . . Just a touching video.”

This very special moment touched a lot more people than just Sunny Sweeney as her post has received 1.4 million likes, 827,000+ shares, and 64,000+ comments thus far.

God bless our men and women in uniform and God bless America.
