Megyn Kelly has epic on-air gaffe while introducing Mike HuckabeePosted by Editorial Staff on November 12, 2014
Fox News host Megyn Kelly is known for her hardball style of journalism, sharp wit, and cool as ice professionalism and demeanor. As you probably guessed, I’m a pretty big fan of hers.
While she’s typically considered all that and a bag of chips, the Queen of Fox News is hardly perfect, a point which she proved during an absolutely epic on-air fumble while introducing Mike Huckabee on her program Monday night.
If you can keep a straight face while watching this, you possess a legendary level of self-control.

Of course, folks watching the program immediately took to Twitter to enjoy a good-natured chuckle at Kelly’s expense.
Later on during the program, Kelly fessed up to having used a naughty word while on the air, demonstrating a bit of personal responsibility, a trait that is largely missing from professional journalism these days.
“Something else that happened on the program is also getting a lot of attention on Twitter and including this tweet from some nice man named Sean who said ‘Megyn you’re a delight to watch and gave a stoic performance after your slip up with Governor Huckabee’s name.’ I thought I was stoic too – I have a heart of a 12 year old boy,” she said.
The lesson to be learned from Kelly’s big goof up is that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes, but at the end of the day, we have to own those mistakes if we hope to learn anything from them.
Kelly is one of the bright faces in journalism who isn’t afraid to hold a person’s feet to the fire, regardless of their position in the government or culture. This is what all journalism used to be about, back in the day when the press considered it their job to hold government officials accountable for their actions.
One thing’s for sure. Megyn Kelly has more class in the fingernail on her pinky finger after dropping the F-bomb than every Democrat in Congress combined. Let’s hope she keeps up the good work!
