Aaron Mair

Sen. Cruz questions Sierra Club president on climate change

(ANMNews.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) gave Sierra Club President Aaron Mair all he could handle as Mair testified before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee on Tuesday regarding climate change. Cruz repeatedly attempted to get Mair to provide straightforward answers, but Mair often sought help from his staff as he appeared flustered and unprepared for questioning.

Mair was asked by Cruz on why he felt that the topic of climate change should not be open to debate. Cruz who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts tried to present basic climate facts, but was told the debate is settled.

Cruz: “How do you address the fact that in the last 18 years the satellite data show no demonstrable warming whatsoever?”

Mair: “Sir, I would rely upon the Union of Concerned Scientists, and I would rely upon the evidence, again, of our own NOAA officials, the data are there.”

Cruz: “Is it correct that the satellite data over the last 18 years demonstrate no significant warming?”

Mair: “No.”

Cruz: “How is it incorrect?”

Mair: “Based upon our experts, it’s been refuted long ago, and there is no longer, it’s not up for scientific debate.”

Mair’s answers or lack thereof clearly show that global warming alarmists are not using real-world data, facts, or evidence, instead they rely on surveys and broken computer model forecasts.

“The Pause” continues on, as do the excuses and denials from global warming activists.
